California Wedding and Reception
The Venue
We have chosen to have our wedding ceremony and reception at the The Laurel Mill Lodge in Los Gatos, California. It is a lovely outdoor space in the middle of a redwood forest in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We are thrilled that we get to exchange our vows among such fantastic natural beauty and look forward to sharing the experience with all of you.
Getting There
By Plane: If you are arriving by plane, San Jose Airport (SJC) is the most convenient. However, it is a smaller airport so you may find something better into San Francisco Airport (SFO). It is an extra 30 minutes away from the venue compared with San Jose.
By Car: Laurel Mill is not too difficult to find and most navigational equipment will get you there just fine. The one hitch is that there might be road construction that will change the route. Unfortunately we will not know this till closer to the day, so please check this link, http://gettingh

Shuttle: We have arranged for shuttle transportation between The Hilton in Santa Cruz and Laurel Mill for the wedding/reception. (Even if you are not staying at the Hilton, you are more than welcome to use the shuttle.) The Shuttle will leave at 3:00pm sharp! There will be two return shuttles, one leaving at 10:30pm and one leaving at 12:00am.
Where to Stay
There are numerous options for lodging in the area.
- Recommended for the Night of the 15th: On-site
The Laurel Mill lodge is a former summer camp, and they therefore have a good number of options for staying onsite. Check out the Staying Onsite tab for more information. - Preferred Hotel in Santa Cruz: We have reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Hotel in Santa Cruz for both the night of the 14th and the night of the 15th. Please call 1-800-445-8667, just let them know you are part of Chris and Mindy’s Wedding.
- Other:There is plenty of local lodging in both nearby Santa Cruz and Los Gatos. They are both a similar distance from the venue, but Santa Cruz has a better selection of places and is a much more interesting beach town. Conversely, Los Gatos is more accessible to the airports.

Indiana Wedding Celebration
The Indiana Wedding Celebration will be held the following weekend, Saturday, September 22nd, at Lakeside Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This will be a relaxed, casual afternoon complete with games, music, and loads of food! Please feel free to come at your convenience, whether that is for the whole time or just a few minutes.
